That's right! An addict to Blogging. I haven't even started, but I know if I permanently took over the blogging, I would have to attend AA for Bloggers. Just like the few of you who have stumbled upon this blog and will soon click on one of my links and the next thing you know an hour as passed. (You know who you are...) I already have noticed myself drifting onto websites that have all the cute templates for blogs. The ones that most of you have. Not to mention my mind already starts wandering to fun ideas or events that happen and I think... We really need to blog about this. And that's why I know... I have to resist. I have to withstand the temptation of becoming the perma-blogger for this family. Well, at least until I graduate in December. And then, I might as well surrender. I'm sure I'll slowly start posting more post, until I have kicked Wes right out of the blog. It's my Blue Personality that will soon take over, I'm sure. But, until then.. I"m thoroughly enjoying reading my husbands cute comments. I mean really, how many husbands start a blog and post regularly. (Or maybe semi-regularly.)
Ok, now that I got that off my chest, the real reason I have decided to add a comment. Well, it's more like a novel now. But, oh well. You blog addicts have an hour anyways, right?
So, this morning my husband awoke early enough to start a yummy coke roast for Sunday Dinner. We have tried a regular Coke roast, and Dr. Pepper roast which have been delicious, but we stumbled upon a secret ingredient to add even more delicious flavor to that slab of large cow that we tend to eat on Sunday's. Wes and I had the privilege of trying our first Soda Roast down in Arizona with our dear friends Dan and Jill Bienz. They introduced us to it, and Wes has never looked back. You dump the soda over the roast with a packet of Lipton Onion Soup and let cook. It's just Yummy. However, just this week Wes discovered a recipe that included Coke, Lipton Onion Soup and Cream of Mushroom Soup. So this morning, he was on a mission to try it.
He mixed it all together poured it over the roast, plugged in the handy crock pot, and (the part I love most about crock pots) left it there to cook. Well, three hours later we were on our way to church and Wes went to check on his masterpiece and to his dismay, nothing had happen to the roast. Some how the power outlet wasn't working and the crock-pot had never started cooking. Disappointed, that now the roast would have to cook on high, instead of low, Wes hit the reset button on the outlet, plugged the crock pot back in and turned it on. And we left it there to cook.

On our way home from church we were anticipating the aroma of a roast to be filled in our kitchen. However, the moment we stepped in our house, there was no sign or evidence that we even had a roast in a crock pot. And once again we were left in disappointed that not one ounce of that roast had been cooked. By now my poor husband was quite distraught. He had tried SO hard to be diligent and helpful, but now it was four o'clock and no roast. I actually found it quite humorous and could do nothing but laugh. Needless to say we took the crock pot and plugged it in a different outlet, and at eight forty five sat down to eat our first Sunday dinner at our new home.
And we proudly wanted to announce that everyone should try making a roast this way, cause it was amazing. Well worth the long wait today. I don't even like roast that much, but it was quite tasty! However, it could have been the eleven hours of marinating that made the difference....
