I always wondered what this day would be like when I was actually a Mother. My entire life I have been told that there are no words that can define the power of a Mother's Love. This year, Mother's Day brought with it a great sense of gratitude. I was grateful for a mother who has given her entire soul to raising her children, who showed me through example the divinity of motherhood, and who I am constantly relying on as I have entered motherhood myself. I was grateful for a mother-in-law who raised a righteous son and who is one of the most talented woman I know. I was grateful for all of my grandmothers who I have constantly looked too for guidance. I was grateful for the fact that both my mother and mother-in-law are alive and healthy to be apart of Jaks life, because he has so much to learn from them. And most importantly... I was overwhelmed with gratitude for my healthy, beautiful, perfect little boy. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about the joy this sweet, innocent little one has brought to my life. He truly has such an amazing spirit about him and I am privileged and honored to be his mother. Thank you Jaks!! I love you more than anything and am so excited to experience life as your mother.
And of course I have to thank my husband for doing all he could to make Mother's Day as relaxing and perfect as he could. He willingly took Jaks during the night so I could sleep and then woke up early to make me my favorite breakfast, french toast and eggs. He also cleaned up the entire mess by himself. Thankyou Wes! Thankyou for always treating me like gold and for doing all you can to make my life amazing! I Love you!

Friends...
My life has been so blessed by good friends. Infact, I know everyone that even reads this blog, has had a positive and huge impact on my life. There is just nothing like having a true friend who accepts you for who you are and loves you unconditionally. This last month I had the chance to see two of my dearest and closest friends. Two friends who have loved me through thick and thin, who have seen me at some of my most vulnerable moments and friends who have patiently accepted my inability to keep in touch. I can't tell you how excited I was to spend time this month with both of these amazing woman, but the best part about it, is the fact that both of them have also recently had kids, and it was the first time Jaks got to meet his new friends. Lexi is only two days younger than Jaks and Jude is six months older. They both are precious and I pray that Jakston can be close friends with both Lexi and Jude, and learn from them as I have from their mothers. Thanks guys for making this month amazing... we miss you both!
He Did It!!
Well, it's official! Wesley Paul graduated with his Bachelors in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Finance. Jaks and I are SO proud of him! Especially with everything he has juggled this last year. Great Job Wes, thank you for all you do for our family! I feel so blessed to have such an amazing, patient, loving husband and I can't wait to see where life takes us. Now that Wes and I have finished our time at Dixie State College, we are trying to figure out what the next step is..... Hurray for life decisions!!!
Skewed Perception
When am I going to learn? When am I going to learn that my projections and presets of life, never happen the way I imagined them to be. Not that they still aren't as amazing, wonderful and simple... just never the way I had them mentally visualized in my head. For example... being pregnant didn't go as I always had thought, and the day my sweet little boy came into this world was not when I had planned, so why I even dared imagine what life would be like as a mother still stumps me. Don't misunderstand me, I anticipated the tiredness, the monotonous tasks, the recovery, the body never being the same, I also anticipated the joy and happiness of sucking in every moment of Jaks life. However, I just saw it different.
I thought for sure by taking time off of work and being home all day with Jaks, I would have ample of time to do things such as blogging, reading, scrapbooking, deep cleaning.... you know... all the things that I have put off for YEARS, because I was never home long enough but to sleep. Well, as most of you already knew and know, how wrong I was. I didn't realize my time allotment would leave me choosing between a shower or food for the day. However, I am going crazy, the last 7 weeks of my life have been the most precious and amazing weeks ever. So many milestone events have transpired and I will be heartbroken if I don't record what has happen. THis weekend I have made a commitment to catch up on my blogging, no matter if I have to skip out on sleep. However, there will be an ample amount of post, and for the next two days I'm going to live in my own fantasy and pretend I was on the ball and posted each entry on the day the event actually happened. So If everyone else can pretend with me, that would be awesome.
Here's to a weekend of catching up! Wish me luck!
